New paint shop and equipment for production of areal furniture in Nolik factory

5th March 2012

In autumn we have completed an investment of installing a new paint shop and updating equipment for production of areal furniture. The investment was realized in five months and financed with own funds and with funds obtained by public tender published by the Republic of Slovenia’s Government Office for Local Government and Regional Policy.

Obtained funds are backed up by European Union through its Cohesion Fund and are implemented under the Operational program of environmental and transport infrastructure for the period 2007-2013, the development priority Sustainable use of energy, preferred orientation and innovative measures for the local energy supply.

The new paint shop was realized according to the project 'Nolik KID' and enables a high-quality coating of elements with different surface materials. Moreover, it means another great asset with which Nolik factory is again meeting the highest standards in environmental protection and rational use of energy.

It is intended for coating and drying the products. It allows usage of water and polyurethane varnishes. It consists of the following components: cabin, device for interfacial grinding, drying tunnel and return-air installation.

Cabin is ready for the use of water paints, resulting in significantly lower emissions of volatile organic compounds, as well as coating and drying of already composed products and of even larger dimensions.

At the same time new modern equipment was installed in order to produce areal furniture so as to ensure the technological possibilities for expansion and a more comprehensive range of furniture for equipping schools and kindergartens, as well as other facilities.

Nolik factory will continue to strive to introduce modern technology and act as a recognizable and socially responsible company.

We have already made a 5,000.000 TRIPP TRAPP chair!

13th January 2011

After 37 years of production, a new milestone was set in Nolik factory. This January we have already produced a 5,000,000 Tripp Trapp chair. Through the years, the chair has remained unchanged. It was designed in 1972. Obviously Peter Osvik managed something only a few succeed, it formed the chair, which can be used throughout one's entire life. It grows with us. Moreover, the chair can be passed from generation to generation. You can almost say that the Tripp Trapp chair is timeless.

We are proud and glad that we have participated from the beginning in technology development and production of the chair. Today's manufacturing is compliant with all environmental, health and safety standards. Product quality is impeccable. Only health and environment-friendly materials are integrated.

Recognition and praise goes to all participants. We would like to thank to our partner, Stokke company, for constructive cooperation and trust.

New heating plant on wooden biomass at the Nolik factory

8th January 2011

Last October we have finalized the investment of converting high-steam into low-steam and hot-water plant on wooden biomass with the 3.5 MW power capacity. The investment was realized in five months, with own funds and with funds obtained by public tender of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Slovenia for the financing of individual heating systems using biomass for 2009 and 2010.

Obtained funds are backed up by European Union through its Cohesion Fund and are implemented under the Operational program of environmental and transport infrastructure for the period 2007-2013, the development priority Sustainable use of energy, preferred orientation and innovative measures for the local energy supply.

Savings in consumption of wooden biomass and electricity energy per unit of heat energy produced are 30% or 25%. At the same time a special built-in electro-filter reduces emissions in accordance with the highest environmental standards. Capacity of the new plant is sufficient to meet the future needs or realization of two new production facilities / projects in the factory’s industrial zone.

Heating plant is designed in a way that a direct upgrade to co-generation of electricity is possible. Entire heating process is controlled with an industrial control and monitoring system, which allows a device to operate fully automatic.

In addition to the new paint shop, which was realized in 2007, this investment means another great asset with which Nolik factory is again meeting the highest standards in environmental protection and rational use of energy.

Nolik factory will continue to strive to introduce modern technology and act as a recognizable and socially responsible company.
